Our Apprentice
Lola started (6th October
2025) her one-year
apprenticeship with us and
Fareham College. She
attends here on three days
each week and shares her
time between us and the
college. She will be
appearing in many of the
photos we take as she
commences on this exciting
journey of discovery,
learning and attainment.
Amongst her many talents, Lola is amazing at plaiting hair.
Several of the little ones already love to sit in ‘Lola’s
Salon’ (a chair placed in front of her) to have their hair
plaited. One even tells her mummy at home that she
wants her hair done by Lola!

Reminder for parents claiming ‘30 hours
childcare’ in the Autumn Term 2026
All eligible parents who are working and want to
claim funded extended hours (30 hours childcare per
week or 1140 hours per annum), must make sure they
have applied to HMRC no later than 31 August 2026.
All parents with a 30 hours code need to make sure
their details are up to date. You must do this every
three months. SIgn in here.
Why are we called Jadela Juniors?
The name Jadela was made up by Dave in 1991 as an
acronym of the first letters of our family members James,
Ann, Dave, Elizabeth & Laura-Ann. At that time we named
our new home, here at 9 Peak Lane, Jadela House.
With us both electing to work together in 2008, as
childminders, we decided to call ourselves Jadela Juniors.
Whilst we remain individually registered, we decided to
use the name Jadela Juniors to describe our home
childcare.
The name Jadela is pronounced 'Jay Dell Ah' not 'Jade Lah'
